-Sick Rose has acquired some investment for Night Sounds, and interest is spreading.  We'd like to thank our current investors for the help while we continue our efforts to raise the rest of the completion funds.

-A rough cut of Night Sounds is complete! 

-DVD's of the first rough cut of our debut feature are now available for potential investors interested in viewing the movie.  Contact Joseph or Matthew for more information.

-Sick Rose Films has been featured in a full-page article about our film!  Check it out at the Milford Daily News website:

This article also appeared in the Metro West Daily News, a paper with a larger circulation, the following day.

-Also, the first phase of color correction and advanced audio work for the movie are nearing completion. Though we've had our share of setbacks, we should be ready to submit our film to the Boston Film Festival under the deadline!

-We have submitted Night Sounds with an official press kit to the Boston Film Festival!  While we were only able to send them a rough cut of the movie, we have high hopes that they will give our film consideration to be screened at the festival, as a local premiere would be an amazing step for Night SoundsThe Boston Film Festival will take place September 8-15th in Downtown Boston.


7/27/06

-We have submitted Night Sounds to the Rebelfest International Film Festival in Toronto!  Using Withoutabox, a valuable resource for independent filmmakers to find and submit to all kinds of festivals, we've put in an online press kit and put the DVD with an official press kit in the mail. Rebelfest is a festival geared towards truly independent films, without studio, university, or government financing, the kind of festival we really hope to be associated with.   The Rebelfest will take place September 6-10th in Toronto.


8/9/06

-We have  officially submitted Night Sounds to the Sundance Film Festival!  An official press kit and online registration was completed and mailed out on the 9th in order to arrive at the festival's office in California by the 18th, which is the early deadline for submissions.  While being accepted into Sundance is a longshot for Night Sounds, we felt it was worthwhile to submit, since Sundance is one of the world's most respected Independent Film Festivals.  The Sundancd Film Festival will take place January 19-29th in Park City, Utah.

-Sick Rose Films has been featured in an article in the Worcester Telegram and Gazette!  The two-page article, Cinema on a Shoestring, is by Richard Duckett and is the featured story in today's Time Out section.  Go to our new Press page to download or link to that, or our previous article in the Milford Daily News.


9/21/06

-We have submitted Night Sounds to the Slamdance Film Festival!  Complete with an official press kit, the packet was mailed out and online registration completed today.  Slamdance champions independent films and has a reputation for being one of the most credible, well-liked festivals in the country.  The Slamdance Film Festival will take place January 18-27th in Park City, Utah, around the same time as Sundance.

-In the past few weeks, we have also sent copies of Night Sounds to the Northampton International Film Festival and the MassBay Film Project in Worcester.  While we are still waiting to hear back from Northampton (the 2006 line-up should be posted in early October), we have heard from Robert Newton of MassBay that Night Sounds will likely be screened in Worcester as part of their line-up.  We are ecstatic to be a part of the festival, and eagerly await the final schedule, which should be posted on their website (www.massbayfilmproject.com) on October 2nd.

-We have been informed by Robert Newton, director of the MassBay Film Festival, that Night Sounds will be screened at this year's event.  The screening will take place Sunday, November 5th at 6 p.m. at Ralph's Diner in Worcester, MA.  Matthew and Joseph will be conducting a Q&A.  Visit the MassBay Film Project website for a full itinerary.

-Night Sounds, re-cut to a lean 90 minutes, is being screened tonight at Ralph's Diner in Worcester!  The address is 148 Grove Street, and the screening begins at 6 pm.  It promises to be a fun night, and a Q&A will follow the show.

-Night Sounds has been reviewed in today's Worcester Telegram & Gazette by Variety Correspondent Daniel M. Kimmel.  Concurrent with the review is a full schedule of MassBay Film Festival Events.

-The team at Sick Rose has been quite busy since our November Screening, which was a huge success thanks to everyone involved.  We continue to submit Night Sounds to local and national festivals, and our following continues to grow.  Check out www.bostonmovietours.net, where Night Sounds has been included in the list of prestigious films shot in Boston.
